I couldn't help my self, I had to take them, I've been in a Star Wars mood lately.

obi- wan
*Sigh!* You belong with the gorgeous Obi- Wan
Kenobi! Of course you can never have him
because the jedi are forbiden to love, but
hey... a girl can dream!

(Star Wars) Anakin Skywalker or Obi- Wan Kenobi: Which one do you belong with?

Qui Gon Jinn
QUI GON JINN - You are a good role model. Never
turning one's mistakes into a joke, you always
try to be courteous and gentle. Along with
this, you try to act serious and don't take
things lightly. Anyone can become a good person
by following in your footsteps.

What Star Wars Ep. 1 Character are you?

You should be a Jedi
like Yoda, the oldest and most wise Jedi. You
are very powerful, but are careful to use that
power only in good ways. You help guard peace
and justice in the world around you even though
people seem to target these to virtues quite
often. Keep fighting!

You and Obi-Wan Kenobi (of the Star Wars prequels)
are meant to be!

Which is your dream guy? Frodo from Lord of the Rings, Oliver Wood from Harry Potter, or young Obi-Wan from Star Wars?

You scored as Obi-Wan Kenobi (Post Death of Qui-Gon Jinn). You are most like Obi-Wan Kenobi, after the death of his master. You have a powerful prescence and take the natural role of a leader. You respect the wisdom of those to come before you and are always training for personal growth.

You now train the lightsaber form Soresu, a near completely defensive form, after witnessing what you considered a fatal flaw in your master\'s technique when he fell to Darth Maul. Your offense is carefully precise.

You devote your life to harmony achieved through The Force and are one of four Jedi to retain identity after death.

Favorite Quote of the Day

For God's sake give me the young man who has brains enough to make a fool of himself!
-Robert Louis Stevenson

Blog blues

Lately I have been remiss in the matter of up-dating my blog, my apologies. Though, to tell the truth, I don't think anyone really reads it anyway. Which is fine, since I never really have any thing profound to say on the best of days.

I am hoping to change this though.

If I could just think of something to write about.

Some more Waterloo and Wellington fun.

I came across these quizzes and thought I would share them. Have fun!

Battle of Waterloo quiz (I scored 8/10)

Tuff Stuff for the Waterloo-Buff (Very hard! I did horribly! 12/25! I'm disappointed in myself.)

Hundred Days (I scored 8/10)

The Duke of Wellington (I scored 10/15! I thought I'd do better!)

Duke of Wellington Napoleon Defeater (11/15)

A few words for the day after 'Nosey' kicked Boney's butt.

Since yesterday, June 18, was the anniversary of the battle of Waterloo, I thought I would post some quotes from the great man himself, the Duke of Wellington. I cannot tell you how much I admire this great general who beat Napoleon Bonaparte on that day, and I am forever thankful to him for it.

The hardest thing of all for a soldier is to retreat.

I don't know what effect these men will have upon the enemy, but, by God, they frighten me.

Nothing except a battle lost can be half as melancholy as a battle won.

All the business of war, and indeed all the business of life, is to endeavor to find out what you don't know by what you do; that's what I called 'guessing what was at the other side of the hill.'

It has been a damned serious business - Blücher and I have lost 30,000 men. It has been a damned nice thing - the nearest run thing you ever saw in your life...By God! I don't think it would have done if I had not been there.

Yes, and they went down very well too. - A retort to a comment on how very well French cavalry had come up at Waterloo.

Up, Guards, and at 'em.

The only thing I am afraid of is fear.

We always have been, we are, and I hope that we always shall be detested in France.

First Post-The quiz result that explains it all.

I thought the results to this quiz would be the perfect way to begin my blog, for I think it says it all. For if I were to be in a novel, it is precisely the kind of character this roguish miss would be.

The Regency Romance Quiz: What kind of Romance Heroine are you?

Dearie me, you are a Hoyden! You may have
brothers, but it is most likely you are the
indulged only daughter of an affectionate
father and a mother who died when you were an
infant. You have been known to wear breeches,
refuse to ride sidesaddle and know how to use a
pistol or a rapier. There is a distinct
possibility that you will become embroiled with
smugglers. You are definitely cheeky and
fearless. Your hero will at first mistake you
for a boy, but his inexplicable attraction to
you will lead him to deduce that you are in
fact female. He will be torn between his
respect for your daring and skill at manly
pursuits, and his irrational yet intense fear
for your safety, which will manifest itself in
him becoming very angry with you. You will, of
course, not recognise the fear beneath his
anger, and will shout right back at him - there
is a good possibility things will turn steamy
at this point. The situation will resolve
itself either in you taming your wild ways
because you can't bear to cause him concern, or
in you rescuing him, leading to a compromise in
which he recognises and respects your
abilities, and you take fewer risks. Let us
hope it is the latter.
